Sponsor Partnerships
These great South Texas Charities, Inc. events take a tremendous amount of time and planning. As costs to run these events increase from facilities to vendors, entertainment, promotions, printing, mailings, etc., so does our need for help.
In order to keep event expenses down to maximize the amount given to the charities while still offering top entertainment and activities, we are offering "Sponsor Partnerships".
If you are an individual, merchant or a corporation who
believes in donating to charity, and giving back to the community, please contact us
immediately. "Time" may be of essence to get you listed on our promotional
material before it goes to the printers for the next event.
There are currently FOUR great ways you
can help us keep costs down in order to give more to the charities.
By becoming:
- "Partner Sponsor"
- "Casino Sponsor",
- "Event Contributor Sponsor",
- "Silent Auction Donor".
1. Partner Sponsor
A "Partner Sponsor" is of course the elite level of sponsor partnership with many benefits that will help give your company exposure and top billing while also being tax deductible. Name recognition on promotional media, links to your website on the event webpage, and even your banner ads on our event page. Included are complimentary tickets to the event, "if you choose"*. See our brochure in PDF format for details.
As per IRS regulations, the tax deductible amount is calculated minus
any amount received as benefits.
2. Casino Sponsor
By being a "Casino Sponsor",
you get your name on a placard right there on the casino table you are sponsoring for all
to see. We will create the sign for placement or you may send us your own logo
design if you prefer. We will give you the dimensions for the signage. Also included
are complimentary tickets to the event "if you choose"*.
See our brochure for details.
The casino table count for the Spring "Hooray
for Hollywood" event:
6 Texas Holdem; 7 Black Jack; 1 Roulette; and 2 Craps.

3. Event Contributor
Sponsor
This is the level of sponsorship that enables a merchant or
individual to help by donating items or services which will help set up or run the
specific event. This enables us to provide a different "theme"
for each event. All donated items or services are tax deductible.
4. Silent Auction Donor
By donating merchandise or services to our Silent Auction
(or "Live" Auction), you are offered an opportunity to not only help raise money for the benefiting charities
of the event but also the opportunity to present your business flyer or
business cards next to your silent
auction item for guests to see and to contact you
later. This allows you to present your name and business for exposure to our elite
audience which is equivalent to the very small advertising fee of the item you are
donating. What a deal!
These items can vary from weekend stays at a resort, dinner
certificates, Salon/Spa certificates, sports or movie star signed memorabilia, or anything
you wish. Better yet, please see our past silent auction
donation listing to get a better idea. Please help
us out.
If you are interested in becoming a "Sponsoring
Partner", we want to hear from you.
Please send an email to any of our Directors or directly to
stci@SouthTexasCharities.org
if you are interested in helping.

Partnership Application

*"if you choose." - You are offered the
"opportunity" to forego or choose to NOT have all the benefits of your level of
sponsorship in order to maximize your tax deductible contribution. As per IRS
Publication 526, the amount of your tax deduction should be the amount of your
contribution MINUS the amount of benefits received for it. You may "choose"
to not accept all, or part of, the benefits in order to maximize the amount of your tax
deductible contribution. We leave this choice to you and your accountant.
This gives you, the donor/sponsor, the "option"
to receive NO benefits if you just want the full deduction. You will be offered the
benefits and you have the option of declining them for full tax purposes.
Here is a tip to ensure your contributions pay off on your
tax return.
(From IRS Tax Tip 2006-57, Tips for Deducting Charitable Contributions.)
If your contributions entitle you to merchandise, goods
or services, including admission to a charity ball, banquet, theatrical performance or
sporting event, you can deduct only the amount that exceeds the fair market value of the
benefit received.
For more information, check out Publication 526, Charitable
Contributions, which is available at IRS.gov or by calling 1-800-TAX-FORM
(1-800-829-3676). |
